Miles, Nick and Oz: Root 64 play Americana-themed music with gusto and fourteen strings
Music
Miles has been playing music since 1987, when he first picked up a guitar. Miles' influences are many and varied, but great singer-songwriters such as Bob Dylan, Van Morrison, Bruce Springsteen, Johnny Cash and Leonard Cohen have all made their mark on his own songs. His album, A Way Of Being Free, released in 2007, built on earlier releases with a mixture of up-tempo rock numbers (Stay With Me Til Summer) to more reflective moments such as the title track. Miles has performed at a number of festivals in the UK, including Beverley Folk Festival, where he also compered the late night stage between 2007 and 2010, Cambridge Folk Festival, and a wide variety of music venues in the north of England.
